Are the LEED 2009 study materials still useful?

I would like to use the Poplar study materials in preparation for the AP O+M exam, yet there has yet to be a V4 update published. To what extent is the AP O+M 2009 study materials different from the new v4? Would using the 2009 version be detrimental or helpful?

Thank you for your help!

Hi Robert,

Thanks for your email/question.

I wouldn't recommend using LEED 2009 materials to prepare for the new v4 exams. From what we're seeing the materials are 30-35% different from 2009 so I would definitely recommend using LEED v4 specific materials.

Our LEED Green Associate exam preparation materials are up to date for LEED v4. Our LEED AP BD+C materials are up to date for v4 and we should have practice tests completed soon. We're working on our O+M materials, taking the exams, etc. but realistically it will be the end of the year before we are ready with this. We take each exam repeatedly. We'll also include project experience in all of our LEED AP exam materials, which will help in terms of understanding/applying how LEED works.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions and thanks again.
Thanks,
Rob
