Hi Dhivya, thank you for your question.

SGL Group out of Germany manufactures a recycled, lightweight construction panel called "Ecophit®".

Ecophit is a lightweight construction panel made from expanded natural graphite that has a high thermal conductivity and that is conductive to energy efficient HVAC systems such as radiant ceiling cooling systems.

This product provides energy savings which, in turn, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and noise levels, while improving thermal comfort, air quality, and fire resistance. It is binder free with no VOC content, and can be manufactured using recycled graphite. We believe the products may be helpful for construction (and green building) because they may:

  1. Improve Building Durability
  2. Reduce Demand for Raw Materials
  3. Conserve Energy and Electricity
  4. Improve Indoor Environmental Quality
  5. Reduce Greenhouse Gas (GhG) Emissions

You can read more about them here.
