Hi Monica, thanks for your question.

Congrats on passing your LEED Green Associate exam!

Compared to the LEED Green Associate, and LEED in general, the WELL AP is pretty different.

WELL focuses on human health and wellness within the built environment. WELL also is focused on the effects of indoor environmental quality on human productivity and health.

There are seven "Concepts" within the WELL Building Standard, similar to LEED's major credit categories. Within the Concepts there are 105 "Features" which are like the individual credits within LEED.

Also like LEED's "Prerequisites", some of these Features are called "Preconditions" meaning that they are required. Other Features are optional.

Like LEED there are different project types for WELL, including a Core and Shell option.

In terms of whether you want to study to become a WELL AP, if you are interested in human health and want to go into that field or are an interior designer, etc. you might want to consider becoming a WELL AP.

You can also try our free WELL AP exam to get a sense of the actual questions on the test.

Let us know if you have additional questions and thanks again,
